Audacity issues

Does anyone else ever have problems with Audacity causing their computer to freeze? Sometimes I have to open it several times just to be able to start using it. I'm not sure if it's related, but I've started to get messages on my computer saying that I need to close programs because I don't have enough memory (which is pretty much impossible--I have extra, and I'm usually only running a few things).

Other than that, I'm still having a hard time getting used to it. It's sort of counter-intuitive for me, but I guess I'm just not used to things like audio editing.

Audacity reaction.

I had a lot of trouble getting Audacity to work--I ended up uninstalling and reinstalling it several times just to be able to get it up and running. I'll finally be posting my audio sample today and beginning my podcast.

It was pretty interesting, though, to listen to everyone else's samples in the meantime. Audio recording is not something I was ever really interested in, but it kind of gives a new perspective on the idea of texts. It's more like a text with the context of the person's voice and maybe even some of their personality showing through.

I'm hoping that by the end of today or tomorrow I'll have everything recorded and posted to Blackboard. Audacity is pretty easy to use--I just wish that it hadn't taken this long for it to start working!
